Day 1

Airport > Colombo

Welcome to Sri Lanka! Upon arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo, you will be met by an iTourlanka representative and transferred to your hotel in Negombo. There, you can sample local favourites like pol sambol (a tasty coconut dish) and roast paan (crispy roasted bread).

Day 2 - 3 - 4

Colombo > Trincomalee

Begin your Sri Lankan journey with breakfast at the hotel. Before heading out, we advise our tourists to shop in the morning so that you are able to enjoy the smells and sounds of Trincomalee. It is one of the world’s most colourful destinations. Its rich history, beautiful beaches and colourful culture makes it one of the most sought after tourist destinations in the world. The city is uniquely blessed with its natural harbour, which was once a major trade route for centuries. Famous for its pristine beaches and ancient ruins, Trincomalee also boasts some of the finest diving sites in the world.

Nilaveli Beach is renowned for its gorgeous beach resort and the coastal town in close proximity to the sandy shores. The nearby region, Uppuveli, is also a popular tourist destination.

Day 5

Trincomalee > Sigiriya 

After breakfast, we will be heading out to Sigiriya. On the way, we will bring you to Sigiriya Rock. On top of a massive rock that juts out of the golden fields like a stony fortress, the 5th Century Fortress in the Sky (Sigiriya Rock) is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most popular tourist attractions in Sri Lanka. We will do this in the morning as crowds tend to be there during the afternoon. After that, we will have a village tour via a bullock cart to explore the village.

Day 6 - 7

Sigiriya > Kandy

Before we head out to Kandy, we will stop by the famous tooth relic. A trip to Sri Lanka would not be complete without a visit to the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic. One of the most sacred sites in the country, it is locally known as the Sri Dalada Maligawa and is located adjacent to the Royal Palace Complex in Kandy. The shrine overlooks the vast expanse of Lake Kandy, and is a place of worship established in the 16th century AD.

After visiting the Kandy Tooth Relic, we will head over for a Tea Factory Tour. Kandy has been the center of Sri Lanka’s tea industry since colonial times. With the British colonization, Kandy became a major tea production center in Sri Lanka.

Day 8 - 9

Kandy > Nuwara Eliya

After visiting Kandy, we will be heading to Nuwara Eliya. we will head over for a Tea Factory Tour. Kandy has been the center of Sri Lanka’s tea industry since colonial times. With the British colonization, Kandy became a major tea production center in Sri Lanka.

After which we can do a sight seeing tour in Nuwara Eliya. And we can drop by Lake Gregory.This is where the seaplanes take off and land on Lake Gregory.

Day 10 - 11

Nuwara Eliya > Ella

When visiting the idyllic town of Ella, there’s one site that shouldn’t be missed – we will visit Seetha Amman Temple which is a Botanical Garden.

While heading to Nuwara Eliya, we will be checking out Little Adam’s Peak. It is reachable by steps and a moderate hiking trail, offering picturesque sunrise views.

After the hike, we will visit Nine Arch Bridge. This is a great example of colonial-era railway construction in the country, and it’s situated between Ella and Demodara Railway Station. Walking along the bridge will delight you with rolling hills and dense jungle vistas.

Day 12

Ella > Yala >

When visiting the idyllic town of Ella, there’s one site that shouldn’t be missed – Ravana Ella Falls. After breakfast, we will head over here. This wide waterfall is the largest in Sri Lanka. It’s nestled within the Ravana Ella Wildlife Sanctuary, which is only six kilometers from Ella Railway Station.

Later in the day, we will be heading for a Jeep Safari in Yala National Park. Yala is one of the most popular safari destinations in Sri Lanka. It is also the second largest wildlife sanctuary in Sri Lanka, and is home to various species of animals such as leopards, elephants, crocodiles, deer, and many more.

Day 13 - 14 - 15

Yala > Mirissa

After breakfast, we will head out to Mirissa from Yala.

You will enjoy a day of beach splendour in Mirissa. The beach itself is a long curve of sand with lovely clear waters for swimming, ideal for spending the afternoon or just taking a stroll along the water’s edge. At sunset, you can also sit and enjoy the spectacular view as it changes from gold to vibrant orange and red tints.

You may pick a day when you will have your two-hour whale watching trip. The boat is equipped with powerful engines and a crew of experienced sailors. The trip usually takes place in the morning to ensure that you are able to spot dolphins and whales as they migrate. You might also see sea turtles, which are not commonly spotted in Sri Lanka because of their shy nature.

Day 16 - 17 - 18

Mirissa> Bentota >

After breakfast, we will head from Mirissa to Bentota.

On the way to Bentota, we will be visiting Galle Fort. If you are visiting Sri Lanka, do not miss out on the Galle Fort. Located in the south of the country, this historic attraction is one of the five historical monuments which visitors to Sri Lanka should see. The fort was originally built by the Portuguese, but later modified by the Dutch. It has also been declared a UNESCO World Heritage site, and is both a beautiful blend of architecture, archaeology and history in a stunning tropical setting.

The next few days, we will head out for a City tour, visiting the beautiful sights of Bentota. We will then be able to enjoy a private boat safari on the Madu River, spotting Sri Lanka’s wildlife as we cruise through thick mangroves, open stretches of river and islands devoted to cinnamon cultivation.

We can also visit a Sea Turtle Conservation Centre on the way and enjoy water sports throughout your stay.

Day 19 - 20

Bentota > Negombo

After breakfast, we will head out from Bentota to Negombo.

Negombo is one of Sri Lanka’s most beautiful beaches. It offers a variety of beach activities, such as jet skiing and snorkeling. The beach is also a great place to relax and watch the boats sail off into the horizon.

The next day, we can visit the Fish Market. Negombo is famous for its morning fish market. If you’re getting up early, don’t miss the boats as they return from their fishing trip. You’ll see the locals haggle over the freshest seafood. As the sun rises, you can observe them at work.

We can also visit the Negombo Canal, also known as the Dutch Canal. It was built by the Dutch in 1663 and connects Negombo with Colombo. The canal was originally built to facilitate trade between Colombo and Kandy.

Day 21

Negombo > Airport

After breakfast, we will head out for a Colombo City tour if you still like. We will give you a chance to do some last-minute shopping.
