About Mirissa
Mirissa is a town that is located in the southern part of Sri Lanka. It is the largest fishing port on the island, which means it has become famous for its tuna, mullet, snapper, and butterfish. In 1980, tourist accommodations began being built in the town, but it wasn’t until the mid-1990s that tourists started to flood into Mirissa. It is also a fishing port and one of the best locations to see whales and dolphins in the country.
