About Wilpattu
Wilpattu National Park is a park located in the northern province of Sri Lanka, about a hundred miles from Colombo. The park is famous for its leopards, which can be seen in the majority of its area. The park has one hundred and eighty five lakes, which are used by the native wildlife for drinking water. In total, there are approximately seventy three leopards roaming around the park. The population density of the park is much higher than that of Yala National Park or Horton Plains National Park.
